The Three Graces


The square is located in Paseo Los illustrious which is part of the Urban System of the Country, just outside the university city campus of one of the major houses of the country's higher education , Central University of Venezuela. The Three Graces Plaza was opened in 1957 by the government of Marcos Pérez Jiménez.

is named after the goddesses or Three Graces Thalia and Aglaia and Euphrosyne that according to Greek mythology represented the comedy, intelligence and joy and they were daughters of Zeus and Eurynome. On 17 October 1999, the plaza is reopened after months of work, the statues were restored by the Italian sculptor Pietro Ceccaelli.

Around the square there is the subway station in Caracas, Ciudad Universitaria
